Groundnuts which are also known as peanuts, are a very healthy snack. They are a rich source of protein, vitamin E, healthy unsaturated fats, fiber, and phytochemicals, all of which can help to keep you healthy.

1. Boost male and female fertility: Peanuts contain high levels of zinc, which is associated with an increase in sperm count and motility.

They also contain a good amount of folate. Repeated studies have shown that women who had a daily intake of 400 micrograms of folic acid before and during early pregnancy reduced their risk of having a baby born with a serious neural tube defect by up to 70%.

2. It is also a natural man power food: It’s amazing to know that groundnut can actually increase your stamina in bed and make you last longer than you can imagine.

3. Protects the Heart: Peanuts contain monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats that keep the heart healthy. A good level, of both fats results in lowering blood cholesterol levels, and thereby reducing the risk of heart diseases.

4. Antioxidants: Peanuts contain high concentrations of the antioxidant
polyphenols. These antioxidants become more active when peanuts are boiled. They reduce the damage done by free radicals produced in the body. 

5. Boosts memory power: Peanuts have been tagged the "brain power food" and this is due to its Vitamin B3 content. One of the benefits of  Vitamin B3 also known as niacin is normal functioning of the brain.
