Researchers from the University College London (UCL) analyzed data on 9,365 adults with an average age of 63 years.
Their aim was to examine whether enjoyment of life reported time after time indeed had any impact on physical health and mortality.
Observations from data collated showed that death rate was progressively higher among individuals who reported fewer occasions of high enjoyment.
This lets us know that mental state and not just physical health affects the ageing process.
