E -cigarettes Impair Immune Responses More Than Tobacco

E-cigarettes are assumed to be safe, but research is proving otherwise.

As researchers analyze the contents of e-
cigarettes, they are finding that they could be as risky as tobacco.

Researchers studied the effects of cinnamaldehyde, the chemical that gives cinnamon flavor to an e-cigarette on smokers.

Results showed that the cinnamaldehyde e-liquids had a negative impact on the immune function of the respiratory system just as conventional tobacco.
